INTERVIEW: FOUNDER, AJIMI MEDIA SPEAKS ON PHOTOGRAPHY AND BUSINESS

By Gbadamosi Joseph

Just recently, Ajimi Media has been launched via social media. Many believe it is a bold step on the part of the founder. Today we conduct an interview with the face behind the initiative.

May we meet you?

I am Kadiri Shadrach, a 23 years old student of English and literature Language of the University of Benin. I am an entrepreneur who  specializes in the media firm, photography to be precise. I love to preserve memories for people and make people happy. I desire to be one of the foremost entrepreneurs in Nigeria not only to make money, but to also impact souls positively for Christ through my job.

Do you have a family?

Yes, I definitely do have lots of families. My Nuclear Family first, and then my spiritual families. But for now let's focus on my nuclear family. I am from a family of 5. Both parents, two boys and a girl.

What are your hopes and aspirations in Life?

My hopes and aspirations sincerely isn't more than doing more for the kingdom, helping young ones discover their purpose, pursue it and start working towards it on time. I have realised that one of the reasons why we have so much touts in this country is that we haven't been able to catch them young. Asides that I want to be a sweet husband and responsible Father.

What will you say are your fears?

Well, fear of disappointing those who have invested so much in me and have believed so much in my dreams. If I make this people proud definitely I will make those looking up to me proud. Most importantly I don't want to fail God.

What is JJ Media all about and what is your vision for it?

AJIMI MEDIA, just like it entails is a media firm. The name AJIMI was coined out of the names of my Nuclear Family, because they have been a whole lot of motivation to me. AJIMI is more than a business venture, it is a ministry through which it's proceedings will be used in enhancing the kingdom projects and impacting lives specifically.

I hope to change the narrative of the media world by doing things differently from what we have been seeing as the norm, as a ministry and business venture excellence is our watch word. AJIMI is going beyond this generation by the grace of God. I won't want to do more of talking but will want the actions of the ministry do the talking in years to come.

According to recent statistics thousands of start-up businesses in Nigeria fail woefully before long, coupled with the situation of the economy, what gave you the drive to go ahead despite these obvious limitations and how do you plan on breaking this barrier?

Well statistically you are very correct but then I believe whatever passes through the test of time will surely prevail. I am in no rush to become so big in the shortest time. We have a long term plan as a company. I believe that for the fact that thousands of businesses failed there are also thousands of businesses that made it. So I choose to drive my motivations from the thousands that made it. I love to make people happy and making them get value for their Money. So one of the strategies I hope and believe will be useful in breaking this barrier is being focused and consistent on the reason why I started the business first of all. And above all I come from a kingdom in which we are always optimistic, The Believers Kingdom.

What is JJ media's selling point?

AJIMI MEDIA'S selling point will definitely be excellence. Excellence in everything we do. From the very beginning of our deals with every client to the last point of business with them.

As a young Entrepreneur what is your advice to other youths out there trying to start a business?

Well, I will say know the reason why you wanna start up a business. Prepare for the good and bad times, be ready to learn and unlearn, know how to network well, have mentors and overall, know God.
