I pledge to the Nigeria of my Dreams,
To be faithful Loyal and Honest,
To serve my country with all my strength,
To defend her Unity.

I pledge to the Nigeria of my Dreams,
To be optimistic like a child,
In judgement and in speech,
For better and for worse.

I pledge to the Nigeria of my Dreams,
The one you have forgotten,
The one you hate,
The one that seems like a fictional play.

I pledge to the Nigeria of my Dreams,
To give her my all,
In votes and in speech,
In gifts and in skills.

I pledge to the Nigeria of my Dreams,
My Giant of Africa,
Not because I love her so much,
For I have no other choice.

I pledge to the Nigeria of my Dreams,
Once I gave up her,
But now I know better,
I was told Nigerians fought like heroes,
But now I know,
Heroes fight like Nigerians.
